C. R. joined the staff of Teen Challenge in May 1978 immediately following his graduation from Blackburn University earning a Bachelor of Arts degree in history. Paula, also a graduate of Blackburn University earning a Bachelor of Arts degree in Elementary Education, joined C. R. on staff after their marriage in 1979. C. R. began as a counselor and within three years became the Executive Director, the position he still holds.

Paula Kersten has worked for Teen Challenge of St. Louis since 1979; first in the office, then as the Kitchen Manager at the Men’s Teen Challenge of St. Louis. Since 2010 she has worked with the women as the Women’s Program Director. She is married to the Executive Director C.R. Kersten. They have three adult children who are working for or have worked for Teen Challenge’s hurting, lost people. Paula has also been an elementary school teacher, and is an ordained minister with the Assemblies of God.

Alicia Kersten

Counselor and PSNC Curriculum  Coordinator

Alicia Kersten holds a Masters degree in Counseling from Missouri Baptist university. She is currently a counselor at Diane’s House. Her tasks include one-on-one counseling and group counseling. She also is the curriculum coordinator for the PSNC classes and enjoys spending time with the ladies during their free time.

Lisa Cashion

Lisa Cashion holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Elementary and Special Education from Southeast Missouri State University.  She has a Master’s Degree in Education from Southwest Baptist University and a Master’s Degree in Counseling from Missouri Baptist University.  She has taught various levels of students for 25 years and has held a Professional Counselor’s License for 13 years. 

Amy Sacha

Amy came to Diane’s House as a student in May of 2013, as a broken and lost woman.  Since graduating from the program, she has seen, first hand, healing in her marriage and family.  Amy decided to stay upon completion of the program and now supervises our ladies as our work coordinator.  Amy really enjoys encouraging and supporting the new ladies that come to Diane’s House by devoting her time and efforts to helping God’s children.
